Good nutrition is one of the keys to a healthy  and long life. You can easily improve your health by keeping a balanced diet. You should eat food 5 contains vitamins and minerals. This includes fruits, whole grains, dairy, vegetables, and a source of protein. It cam be hard trying to change your eating habits since it needs a lot of self-control. Making changes to your diet may also be beneficial if you have diseases that are caused by eating or drinking. A balanced nutrition and regular exercise are good for your health. These habits can help you lose or maintain weight. Try to set realistic goals for yourself so you can do it at your own pace.

Most dietitians suggest making healthy eating habits a part of daily life rather than following fad diets because some of it can be misleading. During the time when my friend and I tried to do pilates we also incorporated  a healthy eating habit. For the first few days it was hard since we weren’t  used to eating small amounts. We avoided junk food, candies, sodas, high-fat dairy food, and other unhealthy food. It was very hard since we both eat a lot, we weren’t  fat but we wanted to be slimmer, fit , and be healthy to avoid any sickness. On the first few days of exercising for a few hours, of course we got really hungry. We would binge-eat whatever I could find in l fridge. Then when we noticed how that would always happen we opted for exchanging it for fruits so it would still be beneficial for our body. We also tried to drink 8 glasses of water a day but  with the exercise it helps us drink more than 8 glasses. For those three weeks with the type of exercises that we did together with the diet it brought a big change to our bodies. Our skin also seemed to be a lot healthier, I’m acne-prone and during those weeks with proper diet, exercise, and enough sleep my skin got cleared and seemed to glow. Due to various information gathered on the internet, people go on and on about fad diets but they should know that fad or short-term diets are not the answer. Sure it can help you lose weight faster but these kinds of diet are hard to maintain and unhealthy. Diet programs or products confuse you with their claims, they only do it to attract people but they don’t  talk about the side effects that these programs or products could bring. If you plan to change your eating habit habits do it gradually.

Making sudden changes in your eating habits may cause temporary weight loss. These changes are neither healthy nor a good idea and doesn’t work in the long run. Improving or changing your eating habits requires a thoughtful approach. In changing your eating habits make sure you know your unhealthy habits. Be sure you know what triggers you to engage in unhealthy habits. One thing you should also avoid is eating at fast food restaurants. People often go to fast food if they’re too tired to cook.  This is an unhealthy habit that we all do and should be avoided. Some things that can help you replace your unhealthy habits: Eat more slowly, if you eat too quickly it makes it easier for your stomach to be full. Plan meals ahead of time to make sure you are going to eat a healthy well-balanced meal. Lastly, eat only when you’re  really hungry. When a person  is tired, sad, and anxious they usually run to food to ease their feelings. This may be comforting but it is an u healthy habit. Try to look for other things to do instead. This is a hard path to take since habits usually take time to develop. It doesn’t  happen overnight. Eating right can help you maintain a healthy weight and avoid certain health problems. Don’t  do it because you want to be thinner and be seen as acceptable in the society with their ridiculous standards. Do it for yourself, do it because you want to be fit and healthy. One thing that comes with having a healthy habit, is that is said to improve your mood and lower your risk of having a mental health issue. Eating well can help you manage your symptoms and regain control of your life.
