Korean Drama

I’ve always known korean drama because I always watch  it with my mother. I love korean drama not that addicted that I try to watch everything. I find it hard to squeeze time watching a lot of korean drama since one episode usually lasts from 45 minutes to an hour. What attracted me the most even when I wad a child, to korean drama is that their cinematography is really good, their actors are great, and the plot of each korean drama is different, unique, and very entertaining. For the past years, I’ve watched a lot that I don’t  even remember the rest. However, these past few years korean drama started to boom that almost everyone is suddenly into it. New korean dramas with unique stories are shown worldwide because of how easy it can be for you to love these dramas and their actors. Here are just some of the korean dramas that I have grown to love:

  • “W”- W is one lf the korean dramas that I got hooked. “W” stands for webtoon. It is a drama that is very interesting to watch with its onscreen adaptation that they were able to do really well. It is a story about a riveting couple whose love spans from the real world to the inside of a comic book. It is a constant source of mystery, surprise, and unique romance.

  • “ The Legend of the Blue Sea”- This korean drama is written by the writer of the famous “My Love from the Star”. The Legend lf the Blue Sea is another amazing tale lf love that spans centuries and species. Actress, Jun Ji Hyun plays as a fast talking, vibrant, honest mermaid who falls in love with the swindler Lee Min Ho. The couple in the 21st century Seoul finds out that they are replaying their tragic Joseon pasts and they must work to change their destinies.

  • “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo” – This is one of the most easy korean drama that I have watched. Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo is an empowering drama by any stretch lf the imagination. The heroine, Kim Bok Joo, loves a sport that isn’t very feminine in the least: Weightlifting. She isn’t a skinny stick and loves to eat. Throughout the drama she learns to embrace these qualities about herself which is a powerful message in this day and age. Part of the reason how she learned to love herself is when her friend turned lover, the swimmer Jung Joon Hyung falls in love with her exactly as she is. He is a refreshingly honest male lead who doesn’t hide his feelings for her. His faith in her as a weightlifter earns her love  and devotion. They become this healthy couple who help each other during tough times.

Suzy is a producer with a heavy responsibility to avenge her fathers death and take care of her younger brother. While Woo Bin is a star who is dying because of a malignant tumor and wants to do the right thing before it’s too late. When they meet as adults after separating as students their love rekindles and opens up a whole new lot of drama.

  • “Goblin”- This korean drama is one of the most unique show that everyone loved. The story is so unique that it revolved around a goblin, a goblin’s bride, and a grim reaper. Kim Shin, the goblin is an immortal who is the protector of souls. He lives with the grim reaper who is in charge of taking deceased souls to the other side. Together the two of them see the dead off into the afterlife. When ome day he meets Kim Eun Tak, his bride with the ability to see ghosts. It is a unique, funny, and endearing drama that will surely capture your heart.
